Reservations

Click here to send us an inquiry for tour reservations.

Make sure you look at our What to Bring list. There is other useful info on our General Information page.

Please take a couple of minutes to read all of this.

Cancellations

For cancellations within two weeks of the departure (14 days), the deposit is forfeited. We prepay for many of the services we use such as bungalows, longtail support boat, etc.

For cancellations in the last 24 hour prior to departure, all payments made are forfeited. Contact us to negotiate in cases of illness or anything else that was beyond your control.

For cancellations more than 14 days in advance, the deposit will be held by Paddle Asia Co. Ltd. and may be used against another trip booking within one year of cancellations - effective from date of notification of cancellation by email.

Note: for big group bookings where bungalows and other reservations have been paid, no refund is available if Paddle Asia cannot secure a refund from the other providers.

There is no refund for any unused part of the itinerary.

Tour Information

We strongly recommend early reservations since our tours are limited to six to eight guests per tour.

Tour Costs Covered

See our itineraries for specific coverage. Our tour programs include accommodations (while on the tour), meals, snacks, soft drinks and water, park entrance fees, and accident insurance. Escort boats are covered on some itineraries.

Personal expenses such as visas, international departure taxes, and excess baggage charges are not included.

Tour pricing is subject to change without notice based on uncontrollable international currency fluctuations or the cost of services we use.

We firmly recommend guests carry their own accident, health or travel insurance. Check with your insurance company to determine coverage and exemptions or limitations while in other countries.

Trip Member Responsibility

As a trip member, you have certain responsibilities to Paddle Asia and other trip members.

You are responsible for understanding the conditions indicated in the trip program and in selecting a trip that is suitable to your abilities. We will, of course, help you all we can in selecting the appropriate expedition. In addition, we will send you supplemental trip information when requested.

It is in your interest to accurately disclose your fitness level. Paddle Asia may make specific recommendations on the type and size kayak for your use based on this information.

The trip leader reserves the right to ask any trip member to leave the trip if the trip member refuses to cooperate with trip procedures or instructions or safety issues. If any guest exhibits behavior which is detrimental to the trip or its members, then the guest may be asked to leave the trip. Such decision is solely at the discretion of the trip leader.

Paddle Asia is not responsible for the acts or omissions, including negligence, of Paddle Asia employees or any person or agency providing goods or services to Paddle Asia or its guests.

Guaranteed Departures

Trips will operate with as few as two guests. Any anticipated modifications in itinerary or accommodations due to the size of the trip will be noted in the confirmation/tour information package.

We reserve the right to modify the itinerary when judged necessary for reasons of safety and/or the overall comfort of the trip members, or due to unforeseen events (weather, road conditions, etc.) in the area of travel.

Paddle Asia guests/participants are eligible to join the trip after final payment has been made. Final payment is in cash (US$ or Thai baht) only.

Paddle Asia reserves the right to delay or reschedule a trip in cases of unsafe weather conditions beyond our control. In the event of short weather-related delays (up to two days) the trip leader will endeavor to use that time in the most productive way for the benefit of the guests and the trip.

If a trip is rescheduled due to unavoidable circumstances and a guest is unable to participate in the rescheduled trip, the guest is entitled to a refund of payments already made (less 50 US$ for administrative fees.) Paddle Asia reserves the right to reschedule a trip to a different location if circumstances warrant such a change.

Unforeseen Delays

Delays due to concerns such as bad weather, bad road conditions, flooded rivers, illnesses, government interference, wars, acts of insurrection, acts of God, or agent issues are not the responsibility of Paddle Asia. Paddle Asia is not responsible for the costs incurred. Paddle Asia will if possible make reasonable modifications in the trip procedures and itinerary to avoid cancellation of the trip.

We highly recommend trip cancellation insurance.

If for any reason Paddle Asia cancels any trip, we are not responsible for additional expenses contracted by guests planning for the trip such as nonrefundable airfare, visa fees, medical exams, etc. To date, Paddle Asia has not canceled a trip.

Customized Itineraries

If you desire to organize a private trip, we will prepare a customized itinerary. Customizing itineraries is one of our specialties. Let us share our expertise and creative skills with you to develop a unique itinerary tailored to your particular needs and desires.

Medical Considerations

  • Please let us know beforehand if you have any existing medical problems.
  • Please consult your physician in advance about possible immunizations requirements.
  • Paddle Asia cannot give guidance on medical concerns. Take a look at the Center for Disease Control website. This is another information page.
  • Note: Paddle Asia is not responsible for existing medical problems, medication, or emergency evacuation costs.

Meals

Paddle Asia attempts to satisfy varying dietary requirements, subject to the type and range of food items available at any given location. We often have vegetarians on trips and we cater to them. Food can be prepared without spice, as needed. We do have some control over monosodium glutamate (MSG), but not the type of cooking oil used in food preparation.

Liability Limitations

Paddle Asia Co., Ltd. and its associated agents and contractors assume no responsibility for any personal injury, damage or loss of property during any stage of a trip. This included acts of nature, delays, theft, government restrictions, or any other annoyance we may encounter but have no control over. We also reserve the right to make modifications or alterations to programs for the safety, comfort, and convenience of the group members as a whole. Trip members will be notified of such changes as soon as possible. Once you have made your reservations and sent your deposit, you are bound by the terms and conditions in this agreement.
